ELog version 1.0

ELog is a console utility designed for Windows NT which works in conjunction with the administrative tool Event Viewer(tm). By using ELog to create virtually any message desired, administrators can add Windows NT(tm) event logging capabilities to any batch, script, or other automated process.

Simple command line options allow for all supported event types, as well as adding entries to remote Window NT(tm) Servers/Workstations across local area networks. Note that the Event subsystem is available only under Windows NT(tm) and is not supported under Windows 95.

In essence, this small utility gives you , the NT Administrator the ability to insert event information, warnings, or errors into NT Event Logs at your discretion. ELog has the ability to insert event data not only into your local logs, but also to any remote NT machine on your intranet!

The Elog package comes with a GUI interface for fast, easy testing and evaluation.
